I’ve told you my god and my sacrifice, what is yours?

Btw I realized I never told you what happened after worshiping the god of being liked. Eventually I stopped wanting to sacrifice my authenticity.

Now I worship to god of helping others. But every god needs to be fed. So I end up sacrificing helping myself.

We humans are so fickle. We chase the gods that appease our immediate yearnings and fears that drive us for comfort, hope, and control of our destiny. The choices is a vast menu to gaze upon for our fears of not having enough or the right thing must be met. Sadly, we discover with bad experiences and/or wisdom in real living, that the gods are fleeting and hollow. We end up with wasted time and focus in the right things that bring joy, contenment, and peace.

the gods shift according to our fears. They are so accomodating to our weaknesses!
