A great way to wrap the concepts into storytelling. These 5 areas are always a juggle and situational based. Delegation was my first lesson in leadership (Type A here). I learned that is a tool to empower both my team and myself. Decision making is my area of development. Learning to utilize non directive coaching is helping me stop giving the answers to help develop my team. Empowering my team to make decisions has truly created an engaged team and generates innovation organically. Feedback is an area I feel needs change in many organizations. I believe in given regular feedback (i.e., one on ones) so that the team knows where their performance is at any time rather than mid year and end of year time suck PA process. This gives the team the opportunity to learn, progess and develop new skills.
