As you know, I send out an issue of The Best Leadership Newsletter Ever every Monday morning.

Today is different, for a coupla-few reasons.

First, you’re probably hungover or tired or both. The last thing you want to do is read about leadership.

Secondly, I’m hungover or tired or both. The last thing I want to do is write about leadership.

And finally, Number C, I have some important things I want to tell you. This will go quickly, so stick with me.

59% Thanks

I started 2023 with 6,604 subscribers.

At the end of 2023, there are now 10,529 subscribers to The Best Leadership Newsletter Ever!!! 🎉🥳

That’s a whopping 59% growth over the year.

Ho-lee Hotcakes!!

I want to thank each and every one of you personally. In order to do so, I have hired a robo-calling service. Next time you receive an incoming call with the name “Possible Spam”, just answer it. That’s my team calling with a personalized message.

That said, I know you’re busy, so in case you miss the call, let me give you my heartfelt thanks for reading my drivel. I am honored and humbled that you continue to subscribe, read, and share the newsletter.

I’m sending you a virtual dap and a bro-hug…

My 5 Most Mediocre Moments of 2023

For the past two weeks, we’ve been bombarded with chatter about every “best of” and “worst of” that you can possibly imagine. In order to bring some humanity into this discussion, I present to you My 5 Most Mediocre Moments of 2023.

  1. That book I read that was good. I don't remember the name. Or the author. Or the plot. But I remember it was good.

  2. That time I drove to the store.

  3. That night I went to sleep, not because I was tired, but because I was just kinda ready to go to bed.

  4. The phone call I had with my friend when it was late at night and he was too tired to talk for long.

  5. April 12. I don't remember why, but it was meh

Happy 2024 Y’all!

I really have nothing to write in this section beyond the headline.

Thank you for reading this.

I appreciate you.
